Privacy
Last updated: October 2026. Here is what Wordwell does, and does not do, with information about you.
We do not ask who you are
There is no registration. No part of the site requires a name, an email address or any other personal detail.
What stays in your browser
Your browser saves two things on your own device: your results in each game, and your choice about advertising if you have been asked. They are not sent to our server. Clearing the site's stored data in your browser removes them.
Words you type into the games are checked inside the page itself. They are not transmitted or recorded.
Ordinary server logs
The server hosting Wordwell keeps standard logs of requests: the address the request came from, the page asked for, the time, and the browser type. They are used for running and protecting the service.
Adverts
Wordwell may display adverts provided by Google AdSense. Google and its partners use cookies to show adverts, to limit repeats and to measure results, and, if you allow it and the law permits, to personalise adverts according to your browsing on this and other sites.
When adverts are switched on, a notice gives you the choice of non-personalised adverts, which are based on the page you are viewing and your general location. You can review your settings at Google Ad Settings. Google explains its use of information from partner sites at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.
If you contact us, we receive your address and message and use them to answer you.
Children
The games are suitable for children and many are intended to help with spelling and vocabulary. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
